RDT are excited to bring you these aerial images of a new purpose built 77 bedroom nursing care home in Wormley for Hertfordshire County Council and operators Gold Care.

These images help to show the unique shape and form of this bespoke modern riverside care home design, delivered over two floors with clustered household living groups around a central courtyard garden with further communal facilities including cafe, activity rooms and hair salon opening out over a number of amenity gardens, terraces and balconies.

RDT have been involved on this scheme throughout the conceptual design, planning and construction phases so it has been exciting to see this project evolve from our initial designs. Working alongside the design/delivery team including Clegg Construction, Colourway Interiors, PEP Engineers and Project Managers Aedifice, this project is due for completion Winter 2021. RDT are also retained as architectural design advisers on behalf of Herts CC.

The care home is part of a 3.6 acre redevelopment on a former primary school site and RDT were part of the wider master plan design team which includes 13 residential dwellings.
