It was a massive win for football but in particular women’s football and all that can be achieved by women in sport. The team are an inspiration for our girls and women and will no doubt be a legacy for generations to come.

For those who have been asleep since last night…. the team won the European Women’s Football Championships 2:1 against Germany with the first goal from Ella Toone and an extra time goal from Chloe Kelly to win.

It was so fantastic to see the girls celebrating after their historic achievement and Captain, Leah Williamson saying how proud she was of everyone (and rightly so).
