It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since we achieved Practical Completion at Dudbrook House Care Home in Brentwood, a project we were thrilled to be a part of for St. Michael's Homes.

Set within a beautiful natural landscape, this modern facility reflects our commitment to innovative problem-solving and attention to detail. We collaborated closely with Horizon Construction (London) and the care home operator to deliver a technical architectural solution that balanced the client's vision with the project’s budget constraints.

RDT were appointed post-tender, and we worked hand-in-hand with the construction team to refine the basement and superstructure designs. We also evolved the care home’s layout to meet the client's updated operational needs.

By utilising our expertise in Revit software, we were able to fully co-ordinate the reinforced in-situ concrete basement, steel frame, and traditional construction elements alongside the mechanical and electrical designs. This also gave the client the opportunity to make key design decisions in a dynamic 3D environment.
