New Melksham Care Home

Why Do Care Home Operators Choose to Work with RDT Architects?

Because our business value of problem solving enables us to create spaces that truly support wellbeing.

The entrance to this 80-bedroom care home in Melksham is designed as a lively hub, connecting key spaces like the café, reception, celebration room and hair salon to encourage social interaction.

The thoughtful layout balances privacy and community. Each floor is carefully divided, with social spaces near the central hub and private accommodation further away, fostering both independence and connection.

Once complete, this care home will provide flexible, comfortable environments with luxurious facilities and choice for its residents.

We believe that great design is key to improving the quality of care and creating a home where residents feel truly valued.

RDT Architects are proud to be working with Aspire LPP and specialist care contractor Lawrence Baker on the provision of this care home for the Order of St. John Care Trust, designed to enrich the lives of residents, staff, and visitors alike.

Appointed from Workstage 4, we took a proactive approach to revisit the original planning-approved design, ensuring the final scheme better aligned with our client's and potential operators' needs.

Our problem-solving approach and expertise allow us to refine the technical construction methodology to deliver a care home that combines practicality with comfort.

If you're a care home operator seeking thoughtful, innovative design solutions, we would love to discuss how RDT Architects can support your next project.
