Collaboration and Innovation at Oaklands College’s New Construction Building Opening

We had the privilege of attending the grand opening of the new Construction Building, a state-of-the-art facility that marks a significant milestone for the college and the construction community. The event was led by Daisy Cooper MP, who officially opened this incredible space dedicated to shaping the future of our industry. 🌟

Our very own Richard Tavener delivered an insightful presentation as chair of the Herts & Beds Constructing Excellence Club, power of vocational training and partnerships with Oaklands College and the the vital role collaboration plays in inspiring and preparing the next generation 🏗️

The event also featured inspiring talks from Andrew Slade of Oaklands College, Neil Lock of Morgan Sindall Construction and Oaklands College construction students, who shared their experiences and aspirations. It was truly exciting to see their enthusiasm for the industry and the opportunities ahead!

The day concluded with a guided tour of the new facility, led by Oaklands College and R G Carter, the project contractors. This cutting-edge building is designed to provide students with the skills and resources they need to thrive in the evolving construction landscape.
