Planning approval granted for 128 residential units with a mix of family homes and apartments on a regeneration site at the former Hightown Secondary School, Bursledon Road, Southampton adjacent to the recently completed Aldi supermarket.

Working alongside our client, JT Consultancy Limited, RDT evolved the designs which include 21 number three bedroom houses and two apartment buildings accommodating a mix of one and two bedroom apartments with access to public open space, car parking provision, cycle storage and landscaping.

The development is a modern architectural form and language, giving a fresh look to the land which has been vacant for a number of years.

The developer also included a play area, planting of 56 new trees and public footpaths.

The development will provide much needed housing in the area.
