RDT Architects at Specifier Summit 2025 – Rethinking Materials, Redefining Construction

RDT attended the Specifier Summit 2025 at Knebworth Barns, expertly organised by BCM Agency. The event brought together leading architects, specifiers, and innovators to explore the future of construction through Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and next-generation materials.

Marion and Scott, as well as Matt from our sister company Boast Architects, were inspired by the headline keynote from Professor Michael H. Ramage, Director of the Centre for Natural Material Innovation at Cambridge University, who shared powerful insights on sustainable architecture and the transformative potential of engineered timber. The interactive Q&A panel and networking sessions provided a fantastic opportunity to connect with industry leaders and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing our sector.

Richard was delighted to sit on the panel as Chair of the Herts & Beds Constructing Excellence Club and spoke about the robotics currently being used at 7 new build houses for Boast Architects and how the Club were demonstrating exemplar projects in the region.

We all gained valuable perspectives on low-carbon building strategies, innovation in material use, and the importance of collaboration across the supply chain. Thank you to BCM Agency and all the speakers for an energising and thought-provoking event!
